About your accommodation

COUNTRY HOUSE ALMUNECAR is a beautifully restored farmhouse set high in the mountains overlooking Almunecar. This is real Andalucia with its spectacular views across to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and down the valleys to the Mediterranean Sea. The farmhouse sits in 4000 square metres of terraced land with fruit trees and cactus and lavender bushes. Almonds, avocados and mangos are some of the trees growing on this former fruit farm. The setting is very peaceful with a lot of birdlife. This is our base for your weeks walking holiday.

The accommodation comprises 4 double bedrooms in cottage / cortijo style with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, plus living room with satellite TV and music system. The large terraced area that runs along the front of the house also has an outdoor covered pergola that is an extension of the living room. This is the perfect place to sit in the evenings and chill out and eat and drink with views out across the valley. The terrace has sun the whole day and the roof terrace above is perfectly placed to see the last of the setting sun over the neighboring hills. There is another terraced area that surrounds the 4.6 metre diameter plunge pool. This is normally the sunbathing area and has sunbeds to relax on. This area is adjacent to the old bread oven where we make our BBQs in the evening. All very beautiful. An ideal place to spend a weeks holiday. One can also take evening or early morning strolls into the surrounding valleys.

Outside there is a long terrace with a covered pergola and a separate roof terrace to catch the last rays of the sun. There is also a 4.6 metre plunge-pool with a sunbathing area, a must after a days walking! Next to the pool is the BBQ area……
